Every day, students walk through the doors of Douglas Middle School with questions about the world around them.
How are bridges built?
Who designs airplanes?
What does it take to become a nurse, an engineer, a welder, a wildlife biologist, or a pilot?
Those questions deserve real conversations with the people who live those careers every day.
By connecting students with local businesses, industries, colleges, military organizations, healthcare providers, public agencies, and community leaders, we hope to inspire students to see the possibilities waiting for them right here in the Black Hills.
One conversation.
One demonstration.
One experience.
Sometimes that's all it takes to change the direction of a student's future.
